Salgrom delivered an automatic aerosol fire suppression system to a new factory of a global telecom leader, protecting Kardex machines and critical technical equipment.

Official requirement for special protection The production and storage areas of the new factory were protected with a water sprinkler system in accordance with regulations. However, the facility contained almost nine meters high Kardex material dispensers, whose closed structure prevents sprinkler water from entering the dispensers. The authorities therefore required that the large material dispensers be protected from the inside as well. The solution had to be effective but safe for the sensitive electronic components stored in the dispensers. Salgrom designed and implemented the solution The customer turned to Salgrom to find a working solution. We designed and implemented an automatic aerosol extinguishing system that protects the interior of the Kardex dispensers and their surroundings. Unobtrusive but effective protection The result was unobtrusive and effective fire protection that meets official requirements and reduces the risk of production interruption.
